What made you choose this degree programme?

I always wanted to study law. I also developed a great interest in French culture during my time at school. When I saw that the RUB offered a bilingual degree programme with two degrees, I didn't hesitate and applied for a place straight away.

In which respect have or haven’t your expectations been fulfilled?

So far, all my expectations have been met. Because there are not that many students, it is possible to support each one individually.

Which aspect of your degree programme do you enjoy most?

What I enjoy most is attending the courses that we have together with the students from Tours.

What has been your biggest challenge to date?

At the beginning, it was the French courses that we had with lecturers from Tours that I found particularly challenging. However, it has to be said that the lecturers have adapted to our rhythm and it is not a problem to have difficulties in understanding at the beginning.

What would you like to become after completing your degree?

Lawyer for German companies in France.

Which advice would you like to give to students who consider enrolling in this degree programme?

Before starting your studies, it can't hurt to familiarise yourself with the French legal terms. This will save you the initial shock in the French lectures. If you are really interested in France and the EU in general, the degree programme offers a really good opportunity to gain an intensive impression. The internship in France and the stay in Tours alone make the programme different from a traditional law degree. However, it is necessary to have a really good command of written and spoken French, otherwise it will be too difficult.
