This degree programme is unique, because ...
it is the only Master's degree program in the German-speaking world that combines reflection on the theory and history of science with cultural and social science perspectives as well as an intensive study of philosophical and non-classical logic.
It provides the opportunity to specialise in the following fields
- Philosophy and history of science (foundations and methods as well as the origin and development of science)
- Philosophy and history of logic
- Non-classical logics and their applications as well as questions of philosophical logic
- Ethics of science as well as cultural and social science research into science and technology
Who is suited?
Those who wish to enrol in this degree programme,
have:
- Interest in the foundations and formal methods of philosophy, in the values and development of the sciences as well as the ability to abstract and analytically approach formal problems.
- questioning the 'self-evident', investigating historical and interdisciplinary issues or formal-logical problems and methods.
