This degree programme is unique, because ...

because Public History focuses on the representation and communication of history in all its variations in and for the public. The task of Public Historians is to help shape these processes in an active and well thought-out manner and to research and describe them scientifically in all their dimensions.

It provides the opportunity to specialise in the following fields
  • Communication and representation of history in public contexts
  • Historical representation and communication media
  • Specialist knowledge of individual epochs
  • Theory and practise of the culture of history and remembrance
  • Practise of Public History

Those who wish to enrol in this degree programme,
